Microsoft's upcoming flagship Windows smartphone has surfaced in what could be its first screenshot, confirming some of the handset's previous rumored specifications.

Following the recent release of its latest Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphones, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, which will run on Windows 10 Mobile. Both the upcoming Lumia devices have been leaked earlier in various images and videos, showing off their key specifications and features.

For the first time now, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has surfaced in a screenshot on the Chinese website CoolXAP.com that is claimed to be from the device's About page and confirms some of its previous rumored specifications.

The screenshot shows the Lumia 950 XL smartphone running on Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 10547 version, which is not yet available to Microsoft's beta testers. The screenshot further lists the CPU in the Lumia 950 XL as '8994', indicating that the flagship smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset, paired with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The screen resolution of the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL has been listed as 1440 x 2560 (Quad HD) without any details of the screen size, though previous reports have indicated that the handset will feature a 5.7 inch display.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is expected to offer 32GB of on-board storage, which will be further expandable via a microSD card slot. The Lumia 950 XL will also sport a 20-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss optics and pack a 3,000 mAh battery for a full day of heavy usage. Given its premium specifications, Microsoft is expected to price the Lumia 950 XL much higher, though its smaller cousin, the Lumia 950, is likely to be offered at a more affordable price.

Microsoft will unveil both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL Windows smartphones alongside the Surface Pro 4 tablet and the second-generation Band fitness tracker on Oct. 6.
